Everything Happens For A Reason!

This is dedicated to my loving family, my friends and all the people I've met through all these years...thank you for being a part of my life!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
"People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..."

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there..to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be but you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would never realize your potential, strength and will power.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

"It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime."

"Everything happens for a reason..."

Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck.
Illness, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test limits of your soul.
Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet affect your life.
The successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from.
In fact they are probably the most poignant and important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but also because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things.
Make every day count.
Appreciate everything that you possibly can, for you may never experience it again.
Talk to people whom you have never talked to before, and actually listen.
Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.
Hold you head up because you have every right to.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you.
Create your own life and then go out and live it.

"Share this with anyone whom you believe has made a difference in your life!"

John 3:16

An inspiring story of a Father's Love...
A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in and out of the cold.
The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers.
He walked up to a policeman and said, 'Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you?
You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and it's awfully cold in there for tonight.
Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay.'
The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, 'You go down the street to that big white house and you knock on the door.
When they come out the door you just say John 3:16, and they will let you in.'
So he did.
He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a lady answered.
He looked up and said, 'John 3:16.'
The lady said, 'Come on in, Son.'
She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went off.
The boy sat there for a while and thought to himself: John 3:16 ...I don't understand it, but it sure makes a cold boy warm.
Later she came back and asked him 'Are you hungry?'
He said, 'Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I guess I could stand a little bit of food,'
The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table full of wonderful food.
He ate and ate until he couldn't eat any more.
Then he thought to himself: John 3:16...
Boy, I sure don't understand it but it sure makes a hungry boy full.
She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm water, and he sat there and soaked for a while.
As he soaked, he thought to himself: John 3:16... I sure don't understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy clean.
You know, I've not had a bath, a real bath, in my whole life.
The only bath I ever had was when I stood in front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out.
The lady came in and got him.
She took him to a room, tucked him into a bi g old feather bed, pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned out the lights.
As he lay in the darkness and looked out the window at the snow coming down on that cold night, he thought to himself: John 3:16 ...
I don't understand it but it sure makes a tired boy rested.
The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to that same big table full of food.
After he ate, she took him back to that same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked up a big old Bible.
She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face.
'Do you understand John 3:16? 'she asked gently.
He replied, 'No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the policeman told me to use it,'
She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain to him about Jesus .
Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave his heart and life to Jesus.
He sat there and thought: John 3:16 -- don't understand it, but it sure makes a lost boy feel safe.

You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either...
How God was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how Jesus would agree to do such a thing.
I don't understand the agony of the Father and every angel in heaven as they watched Jesus suffer and die.
I don't understand the intense love for ME that kept Jesus on the cross till the end.
I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth living.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Benefit Of The Doubt!

In this day and age, it's kinda hard not to label and judge people...
I hope this story inspires you to do otherwise...

One night there was a woman at the airport who had to wait for several hours before catching her next flight. While she waited she bought a book and a pack of biscuits to spend the time. She looked for a place to sit and waited. She was deep into her book, when suddenly she realized that there was a young man sitting next to her who was stretching his hand, with no concern whatsoever, and grabbing the pack of cookies lying between them.

He started to eat them one by one. Not wanting to make a fuss about it she decided to ignore him. The woman, slightly bothered, ate the cookies and watched the clock, while the young and shameless thief of biscuits was also finishing them. The woman started to get really angry at this point and thought "If I wasn't such a good and educated person, I would have given this daring man a black eye by now."

Every time she ate a biscuit, he had one too. The dialogue between their eyes continued and when only one biscuit was left, she wondered what he was going to do. Softly and with a nervous smile, the young man grabbed the last biscuit and broke it in two. He offered one half to the woman while he ate the other half. Briskly she took the biscuit and thought, "What an insolent man! How uneducated! He didn't even thank me!" She had never met anybody so fresh and sighed relived to hear her flight announced. She grabbed bags and went towards the boarding gate refusing to look to where that insolent thief was seated.

After boarding the plane and nicely seated, she looked for her book which was nearly finished by now. While looking into her bag, she was totally surprised to find her pack of biscuits nearly intact. If my biscuits are here, she thought feeling terribly, those others were his and he tried to share them with me.Too late to apologize to the young man, she realized with pain, that it was her who had been insolent, uneducated and a thief, and not him.

How many times in our lives, had we known with certainty that something happened in a certain way, only to discover later that it wasn't true?

How many times has our lack of trust within us made us judge other people unfairly with our conceited ideas, often far away from reality.

That is why we have to think twice before we judge others.
Let's always give others the benefit of the doubt before we think badly of them.

"GOD EXISTS!"

This is one of the best explanations why God allows pain and suffering to happen in this world.
It's an explanation which people will understand...

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said, “I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.
Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people?
Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain.
I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond, because he didn't want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard.
He looked dirty and un-kept.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber:
"You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber.
"I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no one with long hair or untrimmed beards like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me."
"Exactly!" affirmed the customer.

"That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!
What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Be blessed and spread to the world that God Do Exists!!!

"Tips For A Photogenic You"

FIND YOUR BEST ANGLE.
Study your face in the mirror and see which angle is most flattering.
Tilt your head and see how that works.
Just make sure your pose isn’t too exaggerated.

PRACTICE YOUR SMILE.
Do you look better with or without teeth showing?
To keep looking natural, inhale first, then let out your smile as you exhale.
And, oh yeah, feel happy so you’ll look happy!

WATCH THOSE ARMS.
Avoid pressing them against your body-especially if you’re in a sleeveless top.
You’ll look bigger- and so will your arms.

STRAIGHTEN UP AND SUCK IN.
Good posture minimizes the presence of bulges, particularly around the waist.
Lengthen your silhouette by putting one foot ahead of the other.
Angle your torso so it doesn’t face the camera squarely, but keep your shoulders square.
This will slim you down.

Now, let’s try if it works…ready Kit? One, two, three! Pose!

QATAR ADVENTURE!

My brother and I boarded the plane bound for DOHA, Qatar last April 11, 2009….QA 647, 17:10pm (Manila time). We arrived 9hours and 30mins later at the Qatar airport at 21:30pm DOHA time (that’s 2:30am Manila time).

This was my 1st time to visit Qatar, my 1st long flight (fortunately the passengers have their own personal entertainment unit attached at every backseats of the plane’s chair; you can either watch a movie/TV series, listen to music, play games, go shopping, etc…you won’t get bored…before we knew it, we’re landing)…this is also my 1st visa approved flight.

These were our meals...fish, beef or chicken?

Ironically, the day we arrived in Qatar was also Easter Sunday… new life. It was a new beginning, a start of a new chapter in my life…it was also the 1st day of my period, hahaha.
From the airport, we boarded a taxi that took us to the apartment where my sister Jane is staying, Al Mansoura…15-20mins ride, She was still at work that’s why she wasn’t able to meet us at the airport…she arrived from work around 11pm. Don’t worry mama & papa, she has transpo…it’s what we call shuttle in Manila.
The 1st 2-3 days, we were still adjusting, time-wise…there’s 5-6 hours difference in Manila time. The apartments here are air-conditioned! Well, it has to be…temperature here can rise up to 60’C in summertime, that’s around June-August…according to the locals.
Meet Ate Jovy...she's our landlady & our Mamita here (",)..

Goofing around the living room...it's too hot to go outside! Meet the blind, the deaf, the mute & the mentally retarded....alms.alms,alms please.

The mode of transportation are Karwa buses (fixed price, near or far destinations you pay only QR3) and taxis (a bit expensive). There are a lot of private car drivers here (a sideline/extra income) offering their services wherein you can bargain the price for your fare...I just don't know how safe it is. For workers, they avail of “transpo”…it’s like shuttle/school bus service in Manila, they pay for it monthly. The employees here, specially those in sales, sometimes have split schedules (ex: 9am-1pm, then 6pm-10pm),so sometimes they go home, eat lunch, rest a liitle & go back to work later…that’s why they hire transpo services cause if they take the taxis regularly, they’ll go broke.

The locals here loves to shop. But for a stingy person like me...I haven't found a favorite yet...the prices are way too expensive for me...I'm beginning to miss MOA, Glorietta, ATC, SM and Divisoria. The 1st mall we visited was Landmark...

Next mall...the famous Villaggio Mall! It was truly beautiful...the designs are magnificent...it's like being in Venice! Look at the ceiling...it's like being outside on a clear day. And there's a lot of cute shoppers here, both male & female! Most of the shops are manned by Filipinos...so many Kabayans here...the other nationalities are Lebanese(gwapo), Jordanians, Egyptians, Indians, Syrians, Pakistans, Turkish, Morrocans, Arabs and Qataris.

Behind us is the Khalifa Stadium and tower...

And then we also visited Hyatt Plaza which is just across Villaggio. I like the mall's driveway & parking spaces. My mom would love the rides here...there's a lot of 4WDs...and gas prices are very cheap. LPG here is only QR30=P390. But it's scary driving here, there are so many reckless drivers...it seems like they don't know the word "caution" here...and we thought my brother Brian's driving is scary. (",)

We also visited the park near Villaggio/Hyatt Plaza...you can have a picnic here with your friends & family, go jogging or do a marathon, or just chill out and relax...enjoy the view! Check out the trees...they're very unique & weird-looking.

This next picture was taken when we visited City Centre Mall...that's the view going to the mall, look at the buildings' facade...very modern, very sleek...beautiful!

Another fascinating thing I found at the supermarket...look...kabeer (big) eggplant and tomato!

...that's it for now!
There's still a lot of places to discover here in Qatar...can't wait for my next adventure!
Till next time...Assalam Alaikum everyone, Godbless!
